VolumeGlass respects your privacy.

Information Collection

VolumeGlass collects a minimal amount of data strictly necessary to operate the licensing and trial system:

• Email address — collected when you purchase a license. Used only to deliver your license key.
• Device fingerprint (hashed) — a one-way SHA-256 hash of your Mac hardware identifiers. Used to enforce the 3-day trial limit. Raw hardware identifiers are never transmitted or stored — only the hash.
• App and macOS version — collected at trial start for compatibility diagnostics only.

No personal data beyond the above is collected, transmitted, or stored.

Data Usage

Collected data is used solely to validate licenses and manage trial periods. It is never sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising.

Accessibility Permission

VolumeGlass requires Accessibility permission to detect global keyboard shortcuts and system volume changes. This permission is used solely for core app functionality and is never used to read or record user input.

Payments

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, who act as Merchant of Record. VolumeGlass never receives or stores payment card information. See Dodo Payments Privacy Policy for details.

Third-Party Services

The app itself uses no analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking. The licensing server uses Supabase (database) and Resend (transactional email).

Data Retention

License and trial records are retained as long as necessary to validate your license. You may request deletion by emailing support@volumeglass.app.

Security

All data is stored in a Supabase database with row-level security. No direct client access is permitted — all operations go through server-side API routes with authentication.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated as the app changes. Updates will be reflected on this page.
